The Baker County Health Department offers a variety of services designed to reduce the incidence of cancer, diabetes, and heart disease in the community. Making lifestyle changes such as better nutrition, exercise, weight management, and not using tobacco products may reduce your chances of having heart disease, diabetes, and cancer. To accomplish this, the program offers free services to county residents such as: |

Smoking Cessation A four-week program that prepares clients to quit, discusses triggers to use tobacco, avoiding relapse and weight gain. |

School Tobacco Education Lessons educate students on the negative health and social effects of effects of tobacco, media influences, and the addictive nature of tobacco. |

Community Fitness Trail The Baker County Health Department has worked with the Baker County YMCA to install a community fitness trail that will be available free of charge. The fitness trail will include a 1/8 mile walking course with a variety of exercise stations and instructional signs designed to give a complete workout. The exercise stations and trail will be accessible for Americans with Disabilities |
