Summer Food Safety Tips Text Box: Although Barbecuing with family and friends is a fun summer event, it is important to remember a few food handling guidelines. When Handling Food it is always better to be safe than sorry!
 
Here are a few tips to help keep you and your family safe during this grilling season:
 
· Always wash your hands with warm, soapy water before and

· Use a meat thermometer to ensure that food reaches a safe internal                       temperature. Beef should be cooked to at least 160° F and                                                 chicken to 170° F. Fish is done when the meat is opaque
      and flakes easily

Text Box: · Keep marinated foods refrigerated and boil the used marinade sauce before applying to cooked food. Also avoid putting cooked food on any plate that has held raw food on it.
